why we’re here

I’ve had this dream of being a writer for quite literally as long as I can remember.

It’s a strange thing, figuring out what you deem to be your life’s purpose at the ripe old age of eight, because no one really tells you what comes after you establish the dream. (At least when that dream is writing, they may tell you if you dream of being a gymnast or scientist, but alas, I am neither and do not know how their elusive fields opperate.)

My mother always said (and continues to say, mind you) that writing is a very fun hobby for me to have, but as fun as it may be: writing tales of whimsy is not a sustainable career.

At least not yet, it’s not. I’m working on it.

Unfortunately for the time being, she gets to be right.

All of that to say, welcome to the Mimsy Tyler Tavern. It’s a space that I’ve fantasized about making a lot lately, and I figured it was about time to make it a reality.

Do I know what “the tavern” is going to be? Not yet. But that’s the exciting part! Right now, the Mimsy Tyler Tavern is a place for me to just be, y’know? Flex those creative muscles. Carve out a little piece of the internet, just as a comprehensive place to put my thoughts and stories.
